I am just trying to throw out possible scenarios.



On Pelvic examiniation the notes would say something like:

1.Blah ,blah, blah with a moderate amount of seminal fluid suggestive of recent sexual activity
2. Tears & laverations noted and description of those to indicate age
3.Anything else determined by protocol

At the end of the physical exam it would say :

Impression: (Whatever physical observations) consistent with sexual assault

It will not say a rape definitiely occured.


That is why it is so important for the defense to get the actual hospital record. It is the only way they will get the complete picture.

In a nutshell, if we were to only see the report we see that she had injuries consistent with a sexual assualt. Reading the entire report the lawyers will see things Nifong did not want them to see.

I'm with you, entirely in that supposition, what should have happened. It's amazing to me that these pertinent, standard details are STILL blurred. I can tell it's got you by the throat too. grr.
