When/If Crystal gets sued in Civil Court (as I devoutly hope she will), Nifong will NOT be her attorney. Will she be eligible for a court appointed attorney as a defendant in a civil suit?

In a civil suit it is up to her to hire an attorney....I am sure there is at least one sleazeball attorney who will take her case.

Since she started this, it may be that she can not sue. Sharpton got sued in the Tawana Brawley case and he wound up paying. That's why the big boys aren't in town. The Jackson scholarship bit was just a jesture and no big deal.

Nifong is not her attorney now. He represents the State of North Carolina. He has probably informed the AV and her boyfriend of that already. If this case cannot be proven, Nifong simply goes on with his life. He is guilty of no malfeasance. He might be guilty of malicious prosecution, but I doubt it.

If, on the other hand, it can be proven that there is not only no case against the accused LAXERS and that she has lied, then, and only then, would the AV in deep doo-doo. She would be guilty of a class A misdemeanor in our state and could do up to a year in prison. Sadly, there will be no reparations to the families. I can only tell you from our experience.
