So? It's their faith, not yours (I presume), and they have no legitimate expectation that you should follow its rules.

Certainly, refraining out of fear of violence is simply craven appeasement.

Actually, it's a simple matter of showing some respect for their faith.

Posting cartoons mocking their prophet is of no benefit to me.
