Allen Brothers - prime steaks and more
Allen Brothers ^
Posted on 05/07/2006 11:46:22 AM PDT by EveningStar
Rush was talking about the Allen Brothers on his show the other day. He'd ordered some gourmet hot dogs from them for one of his parties. He said they were great. He also said they are one of the chief suppliers for prime steakhouses in the country.
The prices are a bit steep.
Has anyone here ever ordered from them?

Yeah, but how much of an endorsement is THAT? Hot dogs are bologna shaped into a log.

Looks like we are crashing their site again.
The main link works, but none of the others do.

There are 8 grades of Beef, Allen's has the best 1 USDA Prime The next, is 2 USDA Choice and so forth. Hope this helps.
I have had their steak, spendy but great for a gift, treat or special occasion.
To: Dog Gone
Vienna sausages are hotdogs that have been turned down on a lathe. That's what makes 'em so durn tasty, *blech.
To: Capn TrVth
The lowest grade of beef and the one used in hot dogs is called 8 USDA Scoop Shovel.

He said their other food is great too.
To: fanfan
He was also extolling the virtues of many of their products. I can't wait to get me some. Better take a look at the price list first!
To: EveningStar
They probably have great stuff.
You managed to kill their website by posting this thread, though. ;-)

I've ordered from them. Twice.
Their dry-aged ribeye is the best steak I've ever had in my life.
You can save a little money by going to restaurant.com and buying a certificate ($25 off a $75 order; the certificate is $10).
We've also had their pork chops. Thick, great on a grill.
This is prime restaurant quality meat.

( I didn't know until just now that it was Barzini all along.)

But what the hell are fat-free dogs made of? Last time I had one WAS the last time I'll have one.

In Canada it's Triple A, double A, etc.
Have any of you ever tried Kobe beef?

Very, very expensive.
I am thinking of getting some Hot Dogs for my husband for Father's day though.
I wonder if they ship to Canada.

Is that what happened?
Every time I click on something there I get "Error 500--Internal Server Error"
I want to try them someday. If Rush endorses it I believe it is good.

But what the hell are fat-free dogs made of? Last time I had one WAS the last time I'll have one.My guess is lentils.
Lentils dyed pink, ground up, and shaped into logs.
