Have you looked at those PODS for storage and shipping and use the trailer for Gimli and other equipment? Those PODS things are getting popular around here, we've seen a number of them on our walks.
I think those things sound like a great idea...I'm seeing more and more too. If you want, you can keep the pod. If not, they'll ship it to a warehouse for you and hold it for you till your ready for it.

Yeah, I priced a move with one of the PODS, and it was over $4000, and it didn't even include that much time in the driveway for packing! We could get a larger cargo trailer for less than that, and then have it available down South to store the stuff until we find a place to live. I'd hate to think of the cost of one of those PODS if we had to keep it for an additional month or two. Also, if we bought a trailer, we'd have a nice enclosed means for hauling construction supplies in the event we want to take up home remodeling.
