Why no live bookmark here?
Posted on 03/26/2006 8:22:08 PM PST by sasherm13
Why does Freerepublic not have live bookmarks? They are so nice and convenient. A live bookmark (rss feed) would be perfect for this site. I suggest it be implemented ASAP.

Look below the bottom of "Keywords" at the top of your thread.
That's a "live" bookmark.

I once tried using a gecko as a live bookmark, but it didn't end well for either of us....

A live bookmark is a bookmark of a website that updates itself with the latest headlines from the site. Instead of having to go to the website, you merely pull down the live bookmark to scan the headlines and then click the ones you are interested in and it takes you straight to that story.

Yup, that's exactly what I wanted. I didn't realize that one existed, especially since there is no live bookmark icon on the address bar. Thanks a lot guys, you've been a big help.
