I envy you your cats. Any males?
I have four stray females and they all hate each other. It's been like this for nearly 8 years. Individually with people, they are wonderful (except for the feral one) and affectionate, but to the last, they are territorial.

A very beautiful cat.
Was that picture taken when he was over 12 years old?

Sassy and TRubble are males and oddly enough come to me for snuggles and attention more than the females as a rule.
All like to be petted but only Trubble and Sassy DEMAND it!
Of course we would not have THIS many cats were it not for the promiscuous stray mom who dropped them in the compost pile when they were a week old and went off with some ne're do well... We just never got around to the task of adopting them out....somehow..
Trubble is VERY territorial..He is huge for his age, too, and loves to sit in my lap!(on his schedule, of course)
Scoots, the elder female, daughter of my beloved departed(another stray),is alpha Queen ..would have nothing to do with the kittens but swat at them..
I see some softening..I caught Scoots grooming one today! TRubble immediately butted in with a fake swat.

A male cat makes all the difference. We tried to introduce a male to these four feisty females, but after 3 months of the girls putting us all through hell, we had to find him another home. My four are all wonderful, they're just nuts.

Scotts mom was my first female since I was a child..We bonded..She could race from one end of the house to the other, make a fast turn just before banging into the door..
She yowled at the closet door when she knew exactly what was in there..I am used to nutty cats..I adored her. She was also very much the alpha cat..
I swear off ever loving another cat and they just show up!

I wish I could have a cat. I grew up with them. Some were inside and some were outside. My favorite was UK. Yes, named after the U.K. Wildcats. Ü
I can't have cats anymore. Hubby hates them and makes horrible jokes about them. He's a very compassionate and thoughtful man except when it comes to cats.

>i>...... just once............. after that NOTHING at all from the veterinarians
Wow that's amazing! Sounds like you've been very lucky in not having them get sick. Do you put the flea/tick meds on them? What do you do about their follow up boosters etc?
