Angels in the alley

Diane, a young Christian university student, was home for he summer. She had gone to visit some friends one evening and the time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than she had planned. Evening came & Diane had to walk home alone. But she wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley, she noticed a man standing at the end, as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness & security wrapped around her; she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the paper that a young girl had been attacked in the same alley, just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy & the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep.

Thanking the lord for her safety & to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed & immediately pointed out the man she had seem in the alley the night before.

When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down & confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery & asked if there was anything he could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one questions. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her.

Never underestimate the power of prayer.

Good evening all!! Posting to the wrong thread! Argh -- I've been busy! LOL

The Knight bowed his head and in reverence said
''I'll do thy bidding, good King
With my friends by my side evil cannot hide
For true love will cast is aside.

Now lead me, kind sir, to see the cur,
The offspring of Morgan LeFey
That I may in one glance discover perchance
If he knows where Paul is this day.''

The King and the Knight descended the flight
Of stairs that led to the prison.
The pair found LeFey staring their way
And in complete disdain he'd not risen.

undefined

His devilish eyes like his mothers despised
No soul looked out from inside them
For young LeFey was an inhuman knave
And would sooner have killed than help them.

''I've seen all I need, I'll go find my steed
And gather my companions at once
We'll set forth this day and be on our way
We'll not give up 'til we find your dear Prince.

But one simple thing I ask you, my King
May I but for one moment pray
In the chapel of yours for the strength of our Lord
I need to petition this day.''

''This one simple task, is all that you ask?
Take but a moment to pray.
Then go forth and prevail - save my son without fail
The kingdom in your hands I lay.''

So for a moment of time the Knight did incline
And raised high his beautiful sword
Then he shouldered the load and took to the road
A new adventure his reward.

They chose a slight detour in the journey to explore
And find the Fairie Queen at the Lake
The Lady'd restored her and the others adored her
For in the fight she agreed to partake.

The Knight and the Wrenn and the Archer and friends
Traveled until the light waned
And they found with delight - what a beautiful sight!
The Ladies who they had saved!

undefined

The ones they called by their names enthralled
And I repeat them to you here:
Mistress Constance and Luv and Fawnn Antoinette
And the ladies Jag and Gummy fair

Princess Noose, Miss Marlow, Geebee
Fatima and Meek
Along with Miss Meg and Miss Mozart.
The maker of Music!

Lady of Tasmania, DivaBetsy and Seven,
Princess Niner and Lady Du
And of course Esmeralda was there
To round out the beautiful crew!

The ladies brought food and brightened the mood
As they cared for the friends' every need
Then kept the fires burning and watched till the morning
And bid the heroes Godspeed....

Sarge....
