Nice clear view of the mountain today though :~D
Only picture in the creek came out a little blurry :~\ We tried to hand our camera to some people who would take our picture in the creek, but Bay didn't like them coming round, and wouldn't stand when I'd reach out with the camera. Not sure why. ecurbh and I hand cameras and water bottles back and forth to each other all the time. He was weird today. So we bagged it. Didn't want to end up dropping the camera in the drink.
Going the opposite direction on the same trail we've always done the other way, and it was a brand new experience for him - A-rabs :~D
And Cyn's never done this before... side skirted the parts of the trail that had rocks in it.
So between Bay feeling a little plodding, and Cyn doing that, and the mood feeling a little down because of it, it was sortof a contest of wills to make ourselves go the whole loop like we planned. Glad we did, Bay really picked up as we went, especially in the shady parts under the trees. I think days when it's sunny and parched out in the sun, there's no better heaven than the dark shady damp woods. The ferns have really come up in the last week, too. It was a little too early to get any pictures of them last week.
Back at the trailer... Both worked up a good sweat, but it dries on them as fast as they can sweat it.
Oh, so glad I checked the thread before going to bed, else I would not have seen these nice pictures until tomorrow night. Wow, nice shot of the mountain. Was that on horseback? Such nice scenery and great trails.
As a guess, I'll bet it was the wildlife and not the weather that was bothering them. Probably something passed that way that they didn't like the smell of. Such beautiful pictures :)
Great pics! Sure is pretty up there.
Oh beautiful pictures:). Love the mountain shot.
Hot weather will slow a horse down. Do you think Cyn was avoiding the rocks because of being barefoot? I love the pictures in the shady forrest:) Can't wait to see it real:)
I'm calling Chris at 7:30. I sure hope he can make it. Harley is really gimping around in his run:(. Once I know if he can make it today or not, I'm going to run to town and get some bute. Yes, he is that bad. I checked him yesterday for swelling, I was wondering if when he pulled the shoe off he pulled something in his pastern, but I think it's just his foot. That's bad enough.
On top of this when I was putting my bike away last night, (I think the guy is going to buy it:), I thought I had the kickstand down, but didn't and when I leaned it over it just kept going. I got my wrist mashed between the bike and the corner of the work bench. That did keep the bike from going all the way down, for which I'm thankful, and Luckily Mack was home. I'd have never gotten out on my own. But this morning I'm wondering if I haven't cracked something. When I turn my wrist up,,,,whew, it hurts. If I keep my palm down it's OK. I had to take my wedding ring off, my fingers are a bit swollen....
