I'm co-opting my husband's PC. Won't he be surprised!

He joined our team back in December, but he keeps shutting off the GUI while doing other things and forgets to turn it back on. He is one of our team's "inactive" members.
I unistalled the GUI version, installed the console version as a service (with my user name) and shared the directory to my home network so I can monitor it from my main desktop.

Unfortunately he's pretty computer-savvy so I think he'd notice! Besides, he'd be wondering why it's even on. He's mostly using his Mac laptop lately--my next target!

Game away !!! F@H will back off so it won't interfere Not necessarily, I just discovered.
I don't do a lot of game playing, but I just tried to play Total Annihilation. The game kept minimizing after only a couple of full-screen sessions. I finally narrowed it down to F@H (the GUI version). Even pausing work didn't do it. I actually had to quit the utility before the game would operate correctly.
Might be bacause it's an older game. Might be because I'm not using the console version of F@H on this machine. Who knows. Just thought I'd bring it up, though, just in case someone else experiences it.
Done playing now-- F@H is back up and running...

Try the console. I think that OpenGL display really kills some video cards.

I've got two clients online now. I should have a third in the next month or two.

I also noticed that on older games my display jumps between the game and the desktop when running the GUI version. While the game runs OK F@H cannot adjust the PixelFormat and abends.
I now turn it off before older games, and run the console version on another system.

Just looked at the team. Consists of two active folders and 7 total.
Its nice to have folders other than FReepers helping the cause.

"I now turn it off before older games, and run the console version on another system."
I have the GUI client running on all three of my computers and it also interferes with BF2, which is a newer game. My daughter has the same issue when using Mavis Beacon Typing Tutor. We simply close the F@H program and reopen them when we are done.

I keep the console version on most systems and the GUI on my fastest system. Maybe I need another fast system to play solitaire on ...

Game away !!! F@H will back off so it won't interfereSorry to all for the misinformation. My daughter and my wife both play a few games om their computers, and I haven't heard any complaints, so I assumed there would be no problems. The only game I play is MOHAA, and I haven't played it in months. I guess I'll dig it out and try it to see what happens. Sorry all.
