Ok, couple of questions:
1. How in the hell do they know that the penquins are gay? What does a penquin do to become gay? I know they spend every minute in a tuxedo but does that make them gay? James Bond does that and he isn't gay (or is he?)
2.Owl Eagle, thanks for the pics but do any ladies here actually layout in the sun with high heels on?

Erm,
They DNA sex the birds via their feathers.
If two boys get together and they start gathering rocks to build a nest, it's assumed they are gay.
If a boy and girl penguin gather rocks, and the boy keeps bringing the girl rocks for the nest, they're assumed mated.
IF however, there is one girl penquin that ALL the boy penquins bring rocks to....then you know she's the village floozy.
BTW, that is a true story :)

From the article: The zoo has 10 male penguins of which six have shown strong signs of preferring male company and formed couples among themselves.
My husband likes to hang out with other males too and be away from the female group once in a while, but he certainly is not gay. Maybe these penguins just don't like the females that are available. Anyone ever thought of that? I mean, where's the variety, where's the flavor? Maybe they are confused, after all, don't all penguins look alike anyway?
Are they gay because they decorate their area in soft pastels (or do they shop at Target)?
IMO wearing a tuxedo does not constitute a "gay" male, but quiet the contrary.
And, as to the high heels in the sun, can't say I've done it, or known anyone else to, either.
This gay penguin thing, is more of an issue than I realized

The story doesn't say exactly, but I assume they were in my High School's drama club.

"How in the hell do they know that the penquins are gay?"
I guess, whenever two male penguins start acting like a couple, i.e.: They hang out together a lot, pretend to be breeding etc.
"What does a penquin do to become gay?"
Well, most species have a certain (varying) percentage of gay/bisexual individuals (Just read about the mating rituals of toads - scary stuff). That specific zoo just had bad look they got all the gay males.
"Owl Eagle, thanks for the pics but do any ladies here actually layout in the sun with high heels on?"
If they get paid for it - be it by a photographer or a "sugar daddy"..... ;-)
