Was it me, or were the ads really lame this year?

The Montreal incident with Bret Hart and HBK was more legit than this travesty of a Super Bowl.

The ads were mostly extremely lame. I only found the FedEx one about the cavemen to even be entertaining. Nobody really put forth any effort, but that might be just liberals having yet another snit about having to have creativity within restraint.

This did not seem to affect the Stones, however, and let me be the first to compliment Bill Cowher, Dan Rooney and the Steelers for gracious and well\spoken, not to mention sincere and heartfelt responses on winning.

Long may they wave.

I counted 3; the FedEx caveman, the Budweiser horse, and the Budweiser streak with the horses. Not a good year for ads.

They were. I also thought the national anthem wasn't done too well.

I've never been too impressed by the ads. Actually, it shows to go you how whacked out our country is that watercooler buffoons and NY Times origami folding types 'look forward' to commercials.

TV commercials!

They were all lame including the FedEx ad, (wow, what an original punch line - "FedEx hasn't been invented yet" - LAME-O!,) but there was an animated ad, I don't remember for who, that looked so creative and expensive to make, I thought it was a preview of some movie.

It wasn't just you. We were all moaning and groaning over the ads. And to think they paid MILLIONS of dollars for a 30 second ad! I did enjoy the one with the young Kleidsdale (sp?)...little horsey trying to pull the Budweiser cart. That one was cute. I also think they should forbid Brittany Spears from ever appearing in another Super Bowl commercial. LOL

The ads were lame. The FedEx caveman and the CareerBuilder jackasses were the only funny ones this year.

And as far as the SuperBowl was concerned, the fix was in....

It wasn't you. And what surprised me is that I saw ads during halftime that I saw last week? Re-run ads on SuperBowl half time? I don't understand it?

I had to listen to the game on the radio, and the coverage by the Westwood One team was very good. I hate the overblown network TV coverage. The ads on the radio were when I went to the bathroom.

Yes, the ads were a disappointment.
The game was okay.
The better team won.

I liked the Burger King ad at the very start of the game, you know the one where the dancers turned into hamburger, lettuce, tomato etc.

And the Clydsdale one was very cute.

The ads were pathetic this year! Is the economy in a recession, for advertisers to come up with such a pathetic series of ads. Only good ones were the Fedex cavemen and the Budweiser horses. (I missed the sheepdog commercial but people were raving about it.)
