2006 Super Bowl Commercials thread
IFilm SuperBowl Ads ^ | 02/05/06 | raccoonradio

Sometimes they're the most entertaining part of the Super Bowl--the ads. Big money might equal big profits--if they can get our attention, make us laugh, etc. Will we remember the ad but not the product, though?

Link is to a site that will have the ads available for viewing after they've run on TV (or maybe before, too?)

FReepers, if you liked--or hated, hated, HATED--an ad, tell us about it here.

Oh, and check out the following ad. It's for toothpaste...and perhaps not in the best of taste? :)

I like the shower in that ad best of all. But then, I've been planning some home improvements lately and may have other things on my mind:)

Yeah, I have some domains registered with GoDaddy and Bob Parsons was sure to tell me (mass email) that they managed to squeeze another "controversial" ad in this year :)

Hey all,

Anyone have a link to that funny Chimpanzee ad? It takes place in a board room where a dozen chimps are jamming to "Come on Feel the Noise," when a human walks into the room to turn the music off and remind them that their sales display is upside down.

The boss chimp then motions to him to turn the music back on, and the guy pretends to have a good time anyway. It was great!!!

Anyone have the link?

That was the best one I have seen yet!!!

I liked the mysteriously reappearing refrigerator beer commercial the best.

The Clydesdale Budweiser colt trying to pull the wagon won hands down. But then Budweiser commercials are usually really good.

All ads can be viewed here

Personally, I liked the Bud Light ad with the guys running from the bear and the Ameriquest ad where the doctor zaps the fly with the heart paddles.

You can see ads at ifilm.com

To be honest, here I am starting the SB ad thread and I missed a lot of the ads because I was talking to friends and not paying attention! But I'm catching up (and do remember some
from orig. telecast)

GoDaddy--yeah, at least ONE of their ads made it past the
censors!
Bud Light--employee motivation and "secret fridge". Both very funny!

McCartney/Fidelity; Oh this isn't new--seen before.

Cars: Who knows, could be a funny movie. Reminds me of an ad for Chevron (IIRC) which a talk car done by the same studio that did Wallace and Gromit.

Bud, streaking sheep: a chuckle. "Didn't need to see that".

Toyota Hybrid--yeah, it saves money...but it's expensive to buy, isn't it? \

Fed Ex caveman: funny
