He comes walking right into our bedroom and wants to hang out and talk with me and my husband. I normally wouldn't mind, except that I would appreciate a knock before entering, but after a while I have stuff to do, or my husband and I would like to talk. I make suggestions like my 12 year old is playing the ps2. He's in the gameroom if you'd like to join him. He doesn't seem to get it. I once sat and folded clothes for thirty minutes without responding to much of his conversation. He took a seat and watched me fold clothes. That was weird!
that kid is lonely....
You probably the only dose of normal in his life.
Well, just look at your husband and say, "Well, Honey, I guess you and I should go on to bed so (Whateverhisnameis) can go on home."
I think I'd have to have a little talk with this kid's folks....this is strange....and eerie! Oops - Elliot's on and I love his voice! he's doing pretty good....
Does he have parents who spend time with him. Sounds like he's a little needy.
1. You are hot.
2. He needs to be near adults. I went through such a phase when I was that age and my Mom was working (not her choice and a long story for another time). It is hard to describe the need, but being near adults and talking about nothing with them seems to fill the need.
Re the neighbor kid ... he's probably getting zero attention at home, to the point where he'll sit and watch you fold clothes instead. Sad, really. Do you know his parents?
