I want to buy my five year old grandson a western outfit and a real cap gun for Christmas. I can't find a cap gun. I was politely told in ToysrUs that they didn't carry anything that dangerous. For heaven's sake, what is dangerous about caps? My brothers used them at an early age. When I do a google search, I am offered 'clickable' guns, but not the real thing.
Anyone have any information on this gun control?
You can buy them online at: http://www.411toys.com/gun.html

I believe it is the concept of guns, especially in the hands of ordinary people, that is dangerous.
WOW......that's amazing. Guess it is fear of lawsuits more than anything else.
I buy them for my grandkids all the time in TX. Even the grocery stores here carry them. Freepmail me and I will get one for your grandson.

Classical example of what runaway liberalism in our judiciary and support for frivolous law, has done to our country.
It is a disaster. And no one in Washington really cares -- I guess they are all getting their donations from the TRIAL LAWYERS ASSOCIATION, et al.
You'll shoot your eye out....
Sorry, I couldn't resist....
Merry Christmas!
I remember having a toy pistol with those red rolls of pockets of black powder, you had to put the roll under the hammer of the gun and it made a little pop sound and if you were really lucky a tiny puff of smoke.
ALRIGHT, thanks for the link. I see the roll caps might be outdated now by the new ones.
Thanks for the offer.
Where do you live?
Like Basil says they are in stores down here, even the gas stations have them.

Discharged close to the ear, hearing damage is possible.
Sufficiently realistic toys (the kind I insisted on as a
kid) can get you shot by a cop in worst-case scenarios.
Whether these considerations are what drives the ToysRus
agenda, I couldn't say.
Me wonders how long it's gonna be before even the mere thought of guns (from any perspective) is illegal too?
We ditched the guns once we figured out how to make real noise:
- Unroll a roll of caps
- Zig-zag thread them onto a needle, poking the point of the needle through the middle of each powder pocket, resulting in an square accordion of caps with holes down the middle
- Remove needle
- Compress the accordion of caps into the smallest cube you can, and wrap with cellophane tape to hold together
- Put a drop of airplane glue on top, light and run!
Very loud noise and much hilarity results after the entire roll of caps explodes at once.
Feel free to share with the next generation, so the technology isn't lost forever.
I have seen cap-guns at WalMart this season.
LOL, I got my first Daisy pump for Christmas when I was eight years old. I came close to putting my eye out with my first ricochet.
LOL! I'll bet the brady bunch is having a water buffalo or 2 over that site.
I'm in Cape Girardeau, Mo...a very conservative town, so I thought.
