Wie is playing in a Japanese pro mens tournament.
She chose this because she is still going to high school and she would not miss much school with Thanksgiving break.
"Michelle Wie: First pro tournament, she got away with unofficial cheating once -- hitting it in a bush and finagling a free drop by claiming an aversion to bees. So, she tried to cheat more blatantly the next time she found foliage, and was turned in by Sports Illustrated's Michael Bamberger. Congratulations to him, since no one else was willing to give this brat a comeuppance."

You might approve of the Euroweenies who are afraid to play against the girls.
MICHELLE WIE could be banned from competing on the European Tour if a committee vote goes against her early next year.
The Tournament Players Committee will meet in January when they are expected to discuss the issue of allowing Wie and other leading female golfers to tee-up in full European Tour events.
Jean Van de Velde revealed the matter will be on the table for initial discussion at a December 20 meeting of the European Tour Board of Directors.
The Frenchman, who recently demanded to be allowed to tee-up in next year's Women's British Open, is a member of the Board but will skip the meeting to be present at the birth of his third child.
And don't forget that she just loves Slick Willie.

"It was really awesome," Wie said. "It was really cool to see a former president."
you're just jellous that you don't have an ounce of her talent, as was the idiot from SI.
I disapprove of media-whores of both sexes who will stop at nothing to become wealthy based on nothing other than their looks.
Anna Kournakova.
Ricky Martin.
Helen Thomas.
I am "jellous" of no one.
FYI, It is spelled Kournikova.
She is a junior in high school who does not want to engage in politics and she made a bland PC statement.
It was the same with John Elway who turned down a meeting with Clinton by saying "he needed to get an MRI on his knee" and was later seen golfing in the afternoon.
She's really young and she's probably too busy playing golf to know what a bum he is.
She's got tremendous talent no doubt, but she knows she won't make any money - or lasting fame - beating the girls. She's made no secret that she wants to be the first woman to play in the Masters and she gears her schedule toward winning tournaments that will get her a free invite. I don't believe she has a chance to win it but the publicity will be enormous if she does get in. Annika Sorenstam, the best women's golfer ever, played The Colonial a couple years back, missed the cut and admitted it was too much course for her. I guess I'm really just disgusted by the publicity-grubbing stunt she's pulling.
Whats with all the negative comments?
Jealousy?
Wie said, "It was really cool to see a former president."
Big deal. We disliked Clinton more than most - especially when he'd cause them to shut the freeway down for an hour while he traveled out to a golf course on the other side of the island.
Nonetheless, it was "cool" to see 'a president' (generic emphasis) at the Veterans' Day parade here in 1998. It was also "cool" to see Bob Hope. The preparations for something that big were bigger than anything we'd seen with secret service about, police snipers on the hotel roofs, Marine I hovering into Waikiki, and the President riding to his bullet-proof shelter in a black SUV.
What Michele Wie said sounded pretty generic to me. Besides, she's 17, a student at one of the toughest prep schools on the island, and a pro golfer. I really doubt she spends much time contemplating politics.
Pat Reusse's annual Turkey of the Year column is easily the best thing written in the Red-Star Tribune.
Everyone makes spelling mistakes and usually you don't bring them up.
However, the poster in post 10 did bring it up and it is ironic for him to do that since he made a spelling mistake in post 9.
Indeed!
You can pop the champagne. Michelle went bogey, bogey on the last 2 holes to miss the cut by 1 shot.
