'Arrested Development' gets the ax
LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Two TV families appear to be getting the boot.
The Camdens will bid farewell to viewers in May when the WB Network's top-rated family drama "7th Heaven" ends its run after 10 seasons in what sources said was largely a cost-cutting move.
The Bluth clan of Fox's ratings-challenged "Arrested Development" is also headed for the exit after Fox cut the third-season order on the Emmy-winning comedy to 13 episodes.

Sounds like a conspiracy to me!
Bush's fault.
I never saw the attraction of "Arrested Development." I was surprised it even made it to a second season.
it takes a while to get into, since it's a complex story line, but it's extremely funny once you know what's going on with the story.
Another genius move by the programmers at fox. Any original, iventive comedy they get (andy richter as a previous example) will receive praise and a loyal following. However, they'll keep changing the airtimes, keep it off the air for a month or more, and then wonder why nobody is watching the show.
Meanwhile, they'll keep mindless crap like "the war at home" running in a prime spot after the simpsons.
Bunch of idiots.
I would have liked to watch Arrested Development but that oh so hip spastic camera action makes me nauseous after like 15 seconds.
The name Bob Loblaw is absolutely hysterical.
I think the best show in recent years that Fox cut was 'Keen Eddie'.
One of my favorites. Thank God it came out on DVD!
Picked it up the day it was released. I think it might have been a bit 'racy'. But d**n funny.
It was too intelligent a show for Fox's low-life audience. Real shame.
I was surprised that it ran an entire first season. From my POV, it was unwatchable; although, I am finding that a lot lately, at least in sitcoms.
I'm surprised it lasted that long. Never could stand it or see why so many were attracted to it.
yes, very funny - and I liked how they worked in the old actors in, too.
However, I can't hear 'the final countdown' by Europe anymore and not visualize GOB doing his bad magic act.
I liked Arrested Developement. It was just one of those shows that wasnt hilarious b ut just enough to keep you snickering. But it cant beat NBC's My Name is Earl, just a great show.
it' s a strange mix - they have one or two good shows and then a mess of tripe and horrible reality shows.
I'm hoping it gets picked up by some place like HBO - you may not get as many shows, but they can do more and it will find an audience there.
Arrested Development is probably the funniest show now in production. I watched the back-to-back episodes this week (its return to prime-time after a baseball hiatus); it was hilarious. So they bring it back, and then immediately suspend it until December....brilliant. Low ratings? Probably because you can never find the show. Disgraceful.
Ok, based on that review, I've just told Tivo to record all the episodes it can catch. If I don't like it, it's on your head :-).
Your Tivo will love you for it if you like redneck humor put into a show.
This is typical of Faux. Hip cerebral comedy hidden behind football dead zone programing. They killed Futurama like this too. KOTH is next.
Suprisingly Family Guy was resurected and given another toon (American Dad) to boot.
Maybe Fox should rotate schedules of shows, give writers and producers more time to produce better shows. Futurama should have at least 2 more seasons. The PJ's were pretty funny too. They have a lot of old shows with loyal fans, why do they snubb them and then try to force them to watch new stuff?
Network Execs....../disgust
