Did you know this about Laura Ingraham?

Visit the official Laura Ingraham website: www.lauraingraham.com

Laura Ingraham believes that most people use these pages as opportunities to embellish their professional experience to lure in the unsuspecting site visitor. In that spirit … Miss Ingraham's path to a career in the media took many unconventional turns. She completed high school in Connecticut at age 13, and at age 15 became the first person to ever win gold medals in both the winter and summer Olympics. After graduating at the top of her class at Dartmouth one year later, she decided to take time off to write her memoirs for which she won the Pulitzer in 1985. Miss Ingraham, recruited by various intelligence branches of the government, eventually signing on with the CIA, rising to the position of Director of the Agency's Middle East operations. Later Miss Ingraham returned to academics at Oxford University, where she received a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology. At age 26, she became the youngest-ever recipient of the Nobel Prize in Biology for her work in isolating the key proteins involved in the breakdown of nerve cells in degenerative diseases.

After her Nobel Prize money ran out, she decided to do some speechwriting in the Reagan Administration, attend the law school at the University of Virginia, clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and practice law at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom in Washington, D.C. In 1996 when she realized that she would rather put pins in her corneas than write another legal memo, she joined MSNBC as a political on-air "friend" (their brilliant name, not hers!). For some bizarre reason, she worked simultaneously for CBS News in Washington, where she contributed on-air commentaries for the weekend evening news. Invariably (and, as it turns out, mercifully), CBS Weekend News broadcasts were regularly preempted by senior PGA tournaments that always seemed to be in sudden death play-offs. When the Ingraham-Eye relationship ended in 1998, the seasoned and always objective CBS reporters in Washington and New York were said to be devastated. "She was an industry pioneer," one Washington producer recalled, "If Ingraham is vulnerable, who's next? Rather? Schieffer?!". In 1998 during impeachment-mania, Miss Ingraham began hosting her own daily MSNBC show "Watch It with Laura Ingraham.” Her on-air colloquies included everyone from Henry Kissinger to the Professor and Mary Anne from Gilligan's Island to "Betty the Booter" (the parking enforcement officer in D.C. who has booted more cars than anyone in her department). After 17 months and three time slots, Miss Ingraham's program garnered the nickname "Watch It Get Cancelled," which it did.

That pretty much brings us up to now-my life in radio and writing. Check out my book The Hillary Trap: Looking for Power in All the Wrong Places (Hyperion), read my columns in USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, and you'll get to about what I think about politics, fat America, animal rage, and Hollywood's creative nosedive.

After I spent so much time in front of the camera, everyone asks-why radio? Don Imus first invited me on his program during the '96 fall campaign season. Since then I have always had a total blast doing radio as a guest (especially when Imus calls me "hideous" or detonates me before I can finish a sentence).

The first line is "Laura Ingraham believes that most people use these pages as opportunities to embellish their professional experience to lure in the unsuspecting site visitor. In that spirit … "

It's just a joke.

Yes, I know. But all the super science stuff, olympic stuff, and nobel prize stuff, etc is clearly a joke.

AHA!!!!

You are correct.

For some reason I skimmed right past the first sentence:

Laura Ingraham believes that most people use these pages as opportunities to embellish their professional experience to lure in the unsuspecting site visitor. In that spirit …

Okay, she got me...shame on her...pooh on me...LOL!

I have a dozen eggs on my face...I wonder if I should just have the moderator pull this thread or sit back and watch the train wreck.

Ah heck, it's in chat...it won't get too many views.

It's hilarious!
If other posters will just read the content and not the comments, I'm sure some will make the same mistake.

But, ask the mod to pull it if you want.

Laura Ingraham believes that most people use these pages as opportunities to embellish their professional experience to lure in the unsuspecting site visitor.

She is proving that in doing so it can work to one's advantage!

PT Barnum made this point years ago. ; )
