I hated "Clockwork Orange" and I think I'm the only person in the world that hated "2001 S.O." Borrrring.
Has anyone mentioned "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" yet? I slept through most of that one, it was so boring.
"Clockwork Orange" is one of my five favorite movies. How can you not like a movie that is a total attack on youth nihilism, amorality, and the ineffectiveness of social engineering by the state?
The Mad Magazine spoof of "A Clockwork Orange" was better than the movie....
I'm with you. If it wasn't for the music, 2001 might have made me suicidal.
I didn't hate 2001. If I ever need a sleep aid, that'd be a good choice. The special effects were good for the day. If it had a plot, I don't remember it. I'm not even sure I've ever seen it all the way through. The sound clips were fun to use for UI events back when I was into that sort of thing and had a Mac. ("I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Dave" or something like that.)
Suffice it to say when Stanley Kubrick died, I didn't find myself wishing he'd made a few more movies.
