Good Monday morning, Freeper Baseball fans. As exciting as last week was, this week looks even better. We should see our first division clinching this week, and a few more pretenders fall by the wayside...and we'll need a little diversion form the Roberts hearing this week..

I'd say Andruw. The Braves would be about 5 games out of the NL Wild card if he had turned in his usual numbers.

You can't take JohnnyZ too seriously....he's kind of like an annoying drunk at your favorite bar. Occassionaly he says something interesting but if you give him more than a few moments of attention he pees on your shoe....
As you can probably see, I don't take it seriously. I have many more things in my life more important than convincing Z of anything he doesn't already believe.
Confrontations on a message board about baseball are a laugh. If Z takes it seriously it's his small life to live.

What's more valuable, what wins more games: Pudge hitting a 2-run homer every five games, or Pedro pitching 7 shutout innings every five days?
One good pitcher can't carry the team; see Randy Johnson with the 2004 Diamondbacks. On the other hand, look at Barry Bonds* with the 2002 Giants. While the rest of the team was decent, there's no way that the Giants would even get to the playoffs, never mind the pennant, without Bonds*.

CF on top of the restaurant. 440 plus foot shot with Ortiz on. Papi hit one about 430 earlier in the game. Arroyo has been pretty good tonight, tossing a good change up which is sort of new for him. Had some bad D cause some problems but he's managed to work it out. 6 innings, 92 pitches, 58 strikes. They ran Lily out in the 6th.

now men on 1/3 with no outs. Papi coming to the plate.
4-0 Sox
To: misterrob
5-0 Sox...Ortiz hit a fielder's choice and Tony G. scored. Manny up

I visited Toronto over the summer and I went to the restaurant (Hard Rock Cafe) out there in CF. There was no game, but it was still impressive to overlook the field from there. It's a long way from home plate
