Please recommend a gun range "convenient" to University of Houston

self

[rudy45]

I have a female friend who is studying there. She does not have a car. Therefore, she would need a range that is either within walking distance, or that can be "easily" reached via public transportation.

I had mentioned Top Gun, but for some reason think that it's too far away (?)

Thanks.

I sympathize. You should check out my "Have Shooting Ranges Forgotten the Common Man?" post. It's a bit old, though.

Please recommend a gun range "convenient" to University of Houston

Not gonna say it. Wouldn't be prudent.

[pcottraux]

How old is she? Is she, um...available? We already have one thing in common.

[Eaker]

I can't help, but maybe one of my pingies can.

Houston? Back porch?

[NYTexan]

She could join the ROTC and get transported to a range!

[Squantos]

[Travis McGee]

Pretty dramatic terrain around Pampa!

[Squantos]

That's our mountain region......rest of it's flat as a sheeps ass...errr so Eaker says.....:o)

[Spktyr]

I gotta ask, why no car? Is she from some liberal area where cars are verboten or at least the ownership thereof is strongly discouraged?

Especially in Texas, not owning a car can be fatal. :-P

[sharktrager]

Most places in Houston you can walk about 5-6 blocks and come across some place where you not only CAN practice your shooting, you will need to to get back home.

Could you help me? I can't find a shooting range for the life of me. Look up my old thread, "Have Shooting Ranges Forgotten the Common Man?"

[NYTexan]

Any of these places good for next May's shoot-out & picnic?
