If the solution ends up being a diuretic, could he prescribe that? Or would I be sent to a specialist? What I fear, pocketbook-wise, is the whole litany of tests they are going to want to run to exclude all the major organ failures. That's financial death by a thousand paper cuts. I think our deductible is at $2,000 (we just did all this too, and decided to go with a minimal plan) and even after that, it's only 80-20. We just can't afford to run the gamut of possibilities. I wish I hadn't brought it up at all.... poor ecurbh has been stressing out as it is.

He could probably take care of it...he could run basic bloodwork, you know? They do prescribe stuff like that.
I think you should have brought it up...at least you can talk about it now, even if it doesn't help with the decision. Nothing good about having it bottled up, I can tell ya.
