Yes, Cranford is one of the original Euthinators. I first encountered his name last week when I found the LifeTree.org Timeline of Euthanasia (it has a longer name on the website).
Here's an early tidbit from the timeline (shoudda been a clue, huh?):
[Yr 1967] The first living will is written by the Euthanasia Society of America, and attorney Luis Kutner (who later founded Amnesty International). The Euthanasia Education Council is created the same year.
Dr. Cranford shows up in Year 1988 as one of the original drafters of the "international guidelines for treatment abatement procedures" which occurred in Appleton, Wisconsin (my home town!) and which eventually became known as the Appleton Consensus -- a watershed document for the Euthinators.
Another name you'll see frequently is Joanne Lynn, MD. She's a "Soros Scholar" Euthinator and seems to be dang near omnipresent over the years. You'll learn about Soros's extensive involvement over the years as well.
I recommend everyone read the excellent intro and the complete timeline. Bookmark it. The first time through just scan it and pick up a few key names & orgs. Later, as the pieces begin to fit together in your mind, you'll want to go back repeatedly, each time with greater understanding.
The buzz language will knock you over. Example: the term "quality of life" was chosen and used (very successfully) by the Euthinators. I'll never use it again, except in jest or with sarcasm. Another phrase which has been professionally perverted is "death with dignity." How many times did you hear Sleazoid Felos use that term?

Another term that is used to advantage, "best interests of the patient." It doesn't mean what you think it means!
Don;t you just love the euphemism for KILL = "treatment abatement procedures"
that makes the hackles on my neck stand up!
Thanks for the great link...I'll add that to my Doctors Death file...We have to know what and who we are up against.
We need to be able to cite chapter and verse if we are going to be able to educate people. Otherwise, they'll turn it off as too unbelievable
YOU ARE THE QUEEN!!!
I just posted this!
YOU SO ROCK RICK ROCK!
Heck-- I didn't have to do hardly ANY work today thanks to you all!
Nice to have a "day off"!
horrifying. It just gets more frightening. I really don't want to know about it - but we HAVE too. they have such a head start.
an excerpt:
, but which are now commonplace in textbooks, accreditation courses, and popular culture:
withholding/withdrawing nutrition and hydration, even when the patient is able to assimilate food and/or fluids
non-reversible sedation, usually through the use of opioids a more casual view of opioids
chronic disease is terminal disease
redefining "imminent." A prognosis of "imminent death" can mean that the patient might die in a day or so; or within a year.
