And if "vegan" sounds excessively excessive, and you go the other way, they'll ask "about the leather: pedestrian-utilitarian, cowperson-decorative, or homo-erotic?"
At which point I might ask "Didn't I see another state on my way in? I think I'll go there."
I'm looking at the stack of bills I should be paying, and thinking if maybe I won't feel more up to it tomorrow night instead....
Given the general silliness of california, I'm surprised that there aren't sections of the hotel for "eco" or "chem-free" reasons. All natural fiber carpet, no petroleum products, no manmade chems... for people with that so-called "multiple chemical sensitivity" thing. Or for the people that break out in hives if somebody at the next table starts talking about smoking.
