LOS ANGELES, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Beating such established Hollywood hunks as Colin Farrell and Vin Diesel, U.S. President George W. Bush won the Golden Raspberry Award on Saturday for worst actor of the year for his appearance in Michael Moore's documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11."
Bush, two members of his administration, Britney Spears and the storybook about a goat that the president was reading to children as the Sept. 11 attacks were taking place all took top honors at the "Razzie" awards, now in their 25th year.
"Catwoman," starring 2002 best actress Oscar winner Halle Berry, tied with "Fahrenheit 9/11" by scooping up four "Razzies" -- worst picture, worst directing, worst screenplay and worst performance by an actress for Berry for her "berry bad" work.

President George W. Bush won the Golden Raspberry Award on Saturday for worst actor of the year for his appearance in Michael Moore's documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11." By calling Bush "worst actor" are the Raspberries admitting that F9/11 is a work of fiction?
To: libs_kma
The liberals are so damned mad Bush turned out to be a good politician and leader they decided to trash his acting! Man, they must be hard up. Next thing you know he'll be criticized for being a poor musician.
If they can't find legitimate reasons to dis him they'll just make up crap.

By calling Bush "worst actor" are the Raspberries admitting that F9/11 is a work of fiction? That's the $0.64 question. It rather like Tommy Daschle trying to claim a major tax dedution on his house in DC while he was also a senator from SD. To take the tax deduction, the $2 million+ house had to be his primary residence, but in order to be qualified to be a US Senator from SD, his primary residence was required to be in SD. Fortunately, the voters of SD simplified his tax problems back in November.

I would actually think being a bad actor would be a good thing for a politician. As I recall, Reagan was often smeared by his opponents for his "acting" due to the fact that he was an actor at one time.
You can't have it both ways, y'know...

Here's a bit of Razzie trivia. Who's the only star to show up and accept his Razzie? That would be Tom Green for the Razzie-winning cimematic classic, Freddy Got Fingered in 2001.

Or it could be a joke, kind of like the razzies are in general. Either way I guess.

You mean this? Definately not shabby, but there would be more to like if she would just shut up and 'act'!

This is BS. I've always enjoyed the Razzies as kind of a good-natured, poking-fun sort of award. Does politics have to be injected into every aspect of society? The article admits that the voters used this as an opportunity to bash Bush as ooposed to voting for someone who actually thought they were acting.

Paul Verhoven showed up to accept the numerous awards he recieved from the razzies for Showgirls.Maybe he did at some later time after the film became a cult classic. It looks like Ben Affleck also wants his Razzies for Gigli.
However, according to the Razzie website,
"MTV Host Tom Green and his widely reviled "shock comedy" FREDDY GOT FINGERED. The film, slammed by CNN as "the worst movie ever released by a major studio in Hollywood history," won a total of 5 gold-spray-painted $4.79 trophies, including Worst Picture. Four Awards went to Green himself, expected to be the first onscreen talent in The Annual Derby of Dis-Honor's 22 year history to attend and accept his Awards in person.
Until last night when Halle Berry surprised the Razzies by attending and graciously accepting her Worst Actress award for Catwoman.
Halle in tears again... for worst actress
