I gather Kelly is West Point. His former CO (LtCol) gave him a great review on TV. Also they made a point of thanking them and all the folks in the service for what they are doing. Regis used to be a Naval officer. Fortunately he didn't follow the path of JFKII.

I suspect that some FReepers on the left coast are gonna have a few choice words for you.
My opinion is that if one wants to remain uninformed, one should stay off of FR.

I liked Jen. Oh well, I'm sure she'll do quite fine.

As a left coaster, I don't mind. I stayed off FreeRepublic until I was sure who won (in my mind.) Pretty much assumed it was a done deal last week, and since they didn't show Kelly melting down, it was a done deal this week.
Honestly, I wish Trump hadn't done the boy/girl thing as the final competition. I really would have preferred it to be a competition between the two best candidates - and if Jenn was the best available out of that crowd, then there's something seriously wrong with the process that brings them to the final boardroom.
I can not imagine wanting to hire a person who is that aggressive when faced with a confrontation. Even if she is right, she'd likely so put off those that Trump wants to do business with as to be a huge liability. Can you imagine her going head to head with one of the financial people because a project wasn't on budget? I wouldn't be surprised if the financial people would pull funding when faced with that.

I suppose the fact that the West Coast hasn't seen it yet doesn't mean you can't post a spoiler message.

Raj was discussing his coffee date with the receptionist, Robin...
She said, "He's definitely got a rap going on...."
He replied, "It's a left leaning conspiracy to smear a Conservative!"

I actually think it's better to come in second on this show. Look at last year. Bill Rancic has to work for Trump, and be toted out like a dancing monkey whenever Trump says so. He's owned by him. Kwame? He made his own multi-million dollar business deal doing exactly what he wanted to do.
Look at American Idol...Kelly had to make that ridiculous movie.."From Justin to Kelly" and make appearances at malls. Some of the runners up have albums out, with their own music doing much better than the winners. I'd rather not be owned by anyone. But that's just me.

You're right. Kelly from idol has a fantastic voice and was forced into terrible marketing.
Jen has had great exposure from this. She is very capable and attractive to top it off. She will do well.
I thought Kelly to be more of a follower than a leader. Trump even said so himself in his last few words before hiring him. ??? (not sure of his ability to lead) He was more unsure and manipulative than assertive.
I thought especially funny was when he told Roger and the other two after giving them a task, "thanks, I love you guys." They laughed at him.

Great point.
I wonder if anyone has made an issue yet that the white male keeps winning the executive job, not the black guy (Kwame, Kevin) or the blonde chick (Amy, Jen, Sandy).
I really hated the way they piled on for Kelly during the live segment. It made me feel bad for Jen who was just as qualified (I would have chosen Kelly too but I probably would have tried to find a way to hire both). I appreciated the one contestant who spoke out about throwing Jen under the bus. Her personality might not have been great but part of that is lawyer training. She didn't deserve to be trashed.

I was surprised that one job choice was a big faboo thing in Las Vegas. I thought Trump's Las Vegas businesses were bankrupt or something.
