There must be a way.....you're so close. You would really enjoy it.

I wish there was .. I had even called Santorums office to request tickets for the inauguration

My problem is the kids and school and with the exception of my FIL and MIL .. who are up there in age and can't handle more then a day alone with the girls ... the nearest family member is my one sister and yet still that is about 20 minute drive at a normal time of day .. it would be even longer during the morning rush hour traffic .. the roads here in the morning get really clogged up with traffic .. and then she would still need to get her own kids off to school also.

Mo, why don't you just take your kids out of school for the inauguration? What could be more educational? For the ball, you could ask a freeper you trust to recommend a sitter.

Damn Mo.....take the girls and go! They can be out of school for a day, heck they'll learn more listening to you rant about liberal weenies and conservative good guys than in a week of school.

Drive home with a smile on your face after listening to a good speech.

Bring your binoculars though and dress warm.
