It's just that they are so common and harmless.
I have a dog with one on her chest, and I had one for a couple of years on an eyelid, where they seem to be common on people.
Sometimes they stay, sometimes the go, but almost always they are harmless.

Thanks for the explaination I have a few cats that had had that and they did die of cancer, but else where like the stomach.
I got the impression this lump appeared later but was the loaction where the shot was given.
It is painful when cancer afflicts your love one be it human or animal!
