I actually dont have a problem with the CBS speciel on homeschooling. As a homeschooled individual, I think that the issue itself should be more publicized. Everyone I talk to seems to think homeschooling is extremely educational and dont get it when I tell them that it's not. There is no supervision and at times my parents will even forbid me from doing my schoolwork, even when I am very behind. I come from a family of eight children and of these eight 4 of them did pre-algebra at the age of 16 or after. None of us have had any choice when it came to homeschooling. My oldest sister was even forced by my parents to sign a religious exemption so that they could homeschool her. I think that there should be sweeping changes in the educational structure when it comes to homeschooling. I think the government should expect everyone to attend private schools, whether through correspondence or otherwise, if they wish to homeschool and these schools should have set curiculum that the homeschoolers must follow. Religious exemptions are far too easy to come by and faith based Umbrellas only allow parents to cover up the education that their child is not recieving and the child should have a choice to attend school when they are 16, maybe younger but definately 16 because that is the dropout age in most states and if someone can drop out they should be able to drop in. Even after they Dan Rather speciel, most people just dont understand the truth about homeschooling. By the time they are in highschool, most homeschoolers are, at that point, being forced to homeschool and recieving a worse education because of it.

If you were homeschooled, you'd be able to write better, TROLL!!!

And wasn't this story on the news *months* ago? It's not current, to my knowledge.
To: dakra
Well, from your spelling, grammar and compositional skills, I would never have known that you didn't graduate from the finest of public schools.
To: dakra
Wow.
I'm sorry, you're either 5 or a troll. Since you know how to type, you must have seen the "spell" button on the lower left of the post screen.
To: flashbunny
Yup, I missed that one. Oh well, the 'dark side of homeschooling' is about to be illuminated by a big ZOT!
To: dakra
Hmmmm, homeschooling is bad because it made you an idiot?
That's not homeschooling's fault. That's your stupid mama's fault....
I'm sorry your parents are too stupid to teach you. Get some new ones.

Hey troll, learn how to spell! Your lack of proper grammer and spelling indicate you are a product of public schools.
