Help.
I dunno what I did. When I opened Firefox this evening, it asked me to create a user profile(?). I selected default, and it told me it was already in use. So I created another one name birbear. But all of my passwords, bookmarks, etc are saved in "Default" and I dont know how to get back to it.
Any help?
Thanks

I don't know, but there's some serious computer talk goin' on on this thread. Maybe you can ask there?
Good luck!
I don't know what happened, but you can try quitting and restarting your computer. That might help.
Could this help?

Happened to me a few days ago.
Ran Norton anti-virus and 1 button checkup, rebooted and it was fine.
Delete the file where you put firefox. (I'm assuming you also have another browser) Do a disc cleanup. Download firefox 1.0 and do not use any defaults. Select your own settings. It's actually a small file to download so time is no big deal.
No solution but I just learned that:
press control + "b" will give you a bookmarks sidebar
press control + "h" will give you a history sidebar
reboot
Check for Firefox help here regarding profile help. http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/edit
it has all types of nifty features. I love it... and i'm a die hard MSFT fan.
No problem! Glad it worked!
That happens to me when I manage to fire up Mozilla or Firefox twice by mistake. If you're running Linux, do a "ps -A | grep firefox"; if you're running Windows NT, 2000, or XP, fire up the Task Manager and look to see whether Firefox is already running--maybe you minimized it and forgot about it?
Uh-oh, bb; now you stepped in it... re-start the machine and mix another adult beverage. You'll feel lots better in the morning.

By any chance did you have Netscape Navigator or Mail open at the time? I personnaly have given up on FireFox. Netscape has the ability to right-click on a link and select "Open In New Tab", I love that feature and it is something that FireFox is lacking. I also used Mozilla at work and I had to create two different profiles.
There's no excuse for Mozilla users not having this freebie (wink):
