FREEPERS: PLEASE PUT UP STATE/COUNTRY FLAGS ON YOUR HOMEPAGES
Posted on 10/30/2004 10:06:27 AM PDT by Mister Baredog
Please help out the curious. I see so many homepages with nothing on them. Please take a minute to go to your homepage, click "this page can be edited" and post a flag, THANK YOU.

I for one really like seeing homepages with something other than blank, FLAGS are a good start and all FReepers should do this much, thank you.

I think the Gadsden flag should be an option.

I stated this post to ask for a link to somewhere with state flags on it, but then I realized that I was a republican and could actually do something for myself without waiting for subsistence. That said, here is a pretty good source of state flags: http://www.law.ou.edu/hist/flags/stflag.shtml

I'm fairly new here. Are there home pages associated with this site? On my personal website I have a US flag but I'm not too proud of the People Socialist Republic of Illinois flag.

I lived in DeKalb, IL when I first browsed FR, but had moved to Michigan by the time I finally set up my first user name.

I just get a box with a red cross in it in your reply. I checked Google and found that the Gadsden flag is the Revolutionary War flag with the rattlesnake and "Don't Tread on Me." No connection with the Gadsden purchase (except that person the flag is named for was a relative of the man who arranged the Gadsden purchase, I believe).
Actually, the Gadsden flag is quite appropriate nowadays when we are struggling with modern-day Copperheads (American leftists like Michael Moore who have a de facto alliance with the Islamo-fascists).

This was needed to be said. Thank you.

I'm fairly new here. Are there home pages associated with this site? On my personal website I have a US flag but I'm not too proud of the People Socialist Republic of Illinois flag. You can opt for the U.S. flag if you wish. In the upper right hand corner click on "more..." then scroll to your "profile" pageand click, click on "you can edit this page" that will take you to the flag options, just pick one click the state/country and it will magically appear on your very own homepage.
When you are reading posts if you hold your arrow over the posters name it will give you the date they joined FR, if you click their name you will go to their homepage. There are some VERY INTERESTING homepages with lots of good info and humor on them. Another great way to enjoy FRee Republic.
