Here is another one ... just not true, Shinsheki retired as planned.

They avoided even the advice of their own general. General Shinsheki, the Army chief of staff, said you're going to need several hundred thousand troops. Instead of listening to him, they retired him.

BTW, on the Shinseki issue Rumsfeld has previously indicated that when the final decision was made on the Iraq War Plan and the generals involved were asked whether they had any objections to the plan, Shinseki did not express any objections either as to the number of troops involved or as to the way the plan was to be carried out.
