I watched the debate in small increments (during commercial breaks for MXC, right you are, Ken), so as to avoid the possibility of throwing something at and through the TV, and it was frustrating as all get out. Every single time I switched channels, Kerry was talking - and lying his scrawny butt off. No wonder Dubya looked so disgusted - how can you talk about your own policies or accomplishments, when you first have to contradict every thing the opponent said? I don't think he did all he could to challenge Kerry's lies clearly and succinctly, unfortunately.

I agree, Kerry is a lying slug. Did you notice that Kerry seemed to be communicating with someone in the audience? At one point he was mouthing words. Mostly he'd nod and smile at whomever and it was strange because GWB would be making a point about Kerry's disrespect or inconsistencies and on the split screen, Kerry's standing there nodding, smiling like he was agreeing with the president that he is a complete *deleted* head.

Reading the Live debate thread was no fun. Lots of long time freepers threw GWB overboard before the debate was finished and saying that Kerry had won. Ick, it made my skin crawl. But you're right GWB left many of the lies unchallenged, like when Kerry pulled out the 16 words in the State of the Union lie. But I guess when you've got lies flying at you from EVERY answer it's very difficult to answer them all.
