My neighbor's dog brought home a human skull, what
Posted on 09/27/2004 12:19:18 PM PDT by jilley
should I do? We live out in the country and the dog brought it home a few weeks ago. She says she wants to keep it for decoration and it is now stuck on her fence post. When I take her the paper every day, it creeps me out. Her dog is always leaving deer horns in my yard also, so it must be out there killing deer and breaking their horns off.

Call the police and let them know.
If the dog may have come across a shallow grave, and your neighbor is a moron for not figuring this out.

Call the police dept if you're sure it's human. Sounds like foul play somewhere.

Call the State Police ASAP. Be forthcoming with whatever questions they ask.

Well, I would just place a call to the local authorities, tell them what has happened. This could be a missing person, a murder victim, or just an old grave he dug up, but the authorities should check it out. I would think that would be a reasonable thing to do...

You need to post this on FR to get our advice? Call the cops immediately - it's either a missing person or a homicide or a suicide.

No kidding!
Unless the dog is being blamed for dragging the remains around the 'hood, my money is on the Norman Bates-neighbor trolling around.

You should most definitely call the police about the human skull.
As to the deer antlers, deer shed their antlers every year. It's very common to find antlers in a forest. I wouldn't worry about that. The dog is probably finding old antlers.
