Just wondering how much it might be worth, and the best method for marketing it and selling it. Auction? If so, where? Directly contacting potentially interested companies/parties?

I've gotten evaluations of between $2,500 and $55,000

Who's valuing it at that? The four principles?

I don't think so. You'll be lucky to get $150 for it.

I think there needs to be someone who would want the name before you could sell it. Maybe the times have passed me by, but does "oop" mean anything?

Go to the person who told you it was worth $50k and tell him you'll sell it to him for half that. An easy $25k for him. If he thinks his valuation is worth anything. Which it isn't.

Look on the NYSE and if there is a symbol that matches, contact the company and tell them it is for sale. Three letter domain names (especially .com) are extremely rare and are expensive to get.

OOP means nothing without the S.

OOP means nothing without the H.

OOP means nothing without the L.

OOP means nothing without the S in front.

OOP means nothing without the C.

OOP means nothing without the P.

Appears you have nothing.

This may not help much - but in the book industry - OOP also stands for "out of print" books - perhaps you could contact some book dealers with a proposal or at least post offer on some of their sites.... may sell on e-bay as well as their own stores. good luck!!

I have a great idea for a hurricane related product, a cheap and necessary item that anyone in the southeast would probably buy in preparation. I also a name for the product that is snappy and gets no hits on google.

I doubt if the product would get much protection from a patent because it's pretty obvious and doesn't use any new technology. It's more of a name and marketing concept.

Anyone know how to sell that?

I've been waiting for years to get this domain name. It's the only thing standing between me an my amazingly successful website called Obese Oriental Pharmacists. Unfortunateltly, even the low end of your price range is about $2,499 too much for me.
