Good Morning Students. Welcome to class!
Class is now in session. The rules are simple; you get a grade if you use the WFTD in a sentence, haiku, limerick, or quatrain. You get a "+" if you make a link, or make the teacher laugh, or you offer the appropriate bribes. I hold the grade book; the whip and chair.

Right now we are getting rain and some wind, but the worst is yet to come. Areas south of here already have widespread power outages.

First? Top Ten?
Ditty Of New Orleans
Words and Music by Arlo Guthrie
Parody and Copyright by LonePalm
Swimming through the City of New Orleans,
Hurricane Ivan, Thursday morning gale,
fifteen bars and fifteen flooded Ryders,
three instructors, twenty-five tons of whale.
Inward bound to America,
this hurricane from Africa
and rolls along through houses, farms and fields,
flatning towns that once had names
and school yards full of Jamaicans.
and boulevards of the rusted automobiles.
Good morning America, how are you?
Say don't you know me; I'm the Big Easy?
I'm the lake they called the City of New Orleans,
I'll be blown five hundred miles when the day is done.
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!

We are fine so far. I stayed at home, and CG went to work, but he is now on his way home. It is getting pretty dang breezy here. Just talked to my stepdaughter, and she is fine.

The storm ended up passing east of where they are sheltered. We just hope the home they closed on last week is unscathed.

John Kerrys uncanny ability to destroy his own candidacy has allowed George Bush to take the high road and remain above it all. Kerrys dull campaign continues to obviate any mud-slinging by the republicans, since most of their own mud is rebounding back onto the dems. Kerry has attempted to ignore his twenty years on Capitol Hill and is trying to run on a vet bio that is irrelevant at best, and fraudulent at the worst. How piloting a Viet boat in 1968 translates into qualifications for the Oval Office has yet to be explained. Voters seem to think that Kerry has bitten off a little more egg than he can chew. Bad case of ova bite! They appear ready to vote a big anti-terrorist leader into office once again, and to veto a biography that is long on rhetoric but woefully short on accomplishment.
