Connections Of New Group To Kerry Campaign

Posted on 09/13/2004 8:54:36 AM PDT by jbird33

The Vietnam Veterans For Truth had a rally yesterday in Washington DC exposing Kerry's lies, and paying honor to Vietnam Vets. Prior to the rally, a group called Veterans Institute For Security & Democracy held a press conference, blasting the group while whining and complaining about the SwiftVets & Other groups (they also spoke of other things, but this was clearly their agenda, it was on C-SPAN yesterday following the Veterans Rally. The only reason I'm mentioning this is because upon seeing it, I became outraged with the group, so I decided to do a little research and see what the group was all about. Well, I found connections that make the SwiftVets look like the Saints they are! The "web of connections" between this group is so direct and extensive it is laughable. Below is just SOME of the connections I have found thus far. You can verify the connections from links on my thread at the SwiftVets forum here http://www2.swiftvets.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8971&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15

Here are some of the connections I have found thus far. President, Officers, & Advisory Board Of The Veterans Institute

Wayne Smith (President) - Member of Kerry Campaign

Col. Richard Class (Officer) - Spoke at DNC Press Conference Attacking Bush's Guard record, asked by Smith to speak

Bob Jones (Speaker Yesterday) - MD Veterans State Coordinator For Kerry Campaign

Gen. Tony McPeak (Advisor) - Appears in Official Kerry Campaign Commercial, speaker at DNC.

Gen. Randolph Jayne (Advisor) - Missouri State Vet. Coordinator Kerry Campaign

Brenda Reed (Advisor) - Iowa State Vet. Coordinator Kerry Campaign

Gen. A. Verrengia (Advisor) - Member Of Texas Veterans For Kerry

David Cline (Advisor) - 1970 Member of VVAW, Current National Coordinator of VVAW and Pres. Of Veterans For Peace.

And my FAVORITE connection of all, which is quite funny actually - Cecil Roberts, Pres. United Mine Workers of America, is the guy who went nuts in Racine, WV and handed the gun to Kerry. He went on the rampage and said "When John Kerry was dodging bullets in Vietnam, George Bush and Dick Cheney were dodging the draft in the United States,". He is on the advisory board of the Veterans Institute For Security & Democracy

Their website also says ""Paid for by Veterans Institute for Security and Democracy and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee." That is laughable. www.veteransinstitute.com (The hypocrisy level is just unbelievable, they go around complaining about the SwiftVets, yet look at the DIRECT connections between this group of misfits that attacked the rally yesterday, it is just so disturbing to me! I am new here, so please bear with me if this is all formatted wrong!)
