On Fox News' panel this morning, Susan Page of USA Today said she'd been visiting in the Midwest this week and found that "people are starting to be skeptical about Kerry's Viet Nam record". I translate that to say Kerry's very vulnerable right now. You guys have set up the ball, now it's time to drive it home.
I and others have contributed to your organization and you need to use that money to run a new 30-second ad...something like this:
[O'Neill with swift boat picture on screen behind him]That's all you need to say. Stop wrangling over every little detail of his record---it's too muddled. The public, but especially reporters, will get it when you demand he release his files. I believe most reporters honestly think Kerry has released all his records and will be surprised by this ad. (They don't like being surprised.) Remember the old adage: Keep it simple, stupid. That's what this ad would do."Two weeks ago Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ran its first ad pointing out the inconsistencies in John Kerry's version of events when he served in Viet Nam. Kerry's spin machine immediately began to smear the personal integrity of these highly decorated veterans rather than address the specific questions we raised. Ironically, the Kerry campaign has now had to recant major portions of one of his claims, that he fought in Cambodia in 1968."
[List of Kerry's unreleased records scroll across the screen behind him]
"Rather than make personal attacks on his fellow veterans, Kerry should simply release ALL his military records. The records listed here remain out of public view...Kerry has not released them. Those records will reveal who is telling the truth."
[Full screen--O'Neill's face]
"Tell John Kerry it's time to release ALL his records...and let the public decide."

Sounds very effective.
eff'n's up there jerking with the very people who saw their sons go off to fight that stupid "war," and who know the pain of having them returned in a coffin, or not at all.
Don't try to b.s. those folks - they know what's real and what's phony.
They are the heart and soul of this country - not you elite globalists out there.
Well, Stewart didn't make the top 10, thus he'll miss out on the Ryder Cup. My heart is breaking for him...he wanted it soooo much and he's been playing so beautifully.
When he made the team last time, 9/11 happened and they had to postpone it till the next year. By the time it rolled around he was in his first big-time slump and wasn't happy with his play. Oh, well. He's young.
Are there any Captain's nominations to the team, or does everyone have to play their way on?
Just remember, he's one of the very best in the entire world at what he does...and golf's the wackiest of all sports in which to excel.
The Captain has 2 picks from among players who didn't make the top 10. It's feasible he could pick Stewart, but I doubt it.
We just got back from playing golf to catch the last hole of the playoff. I'm so sorry Stewart fell a little short, Ryder point-wise, but he played a really solid tournament. Three under par and a 17th place finish is nothing to sneeze at on that incredibly difficult course!

Look at my hat! Je suis sportif, non?

I say, my good man, I seem to have gotten some goo on my thumb. Could you clean that off for me?
How very Metro of him.
Dorkdom personified.
Looks like his helmet straps were too tight. They squished his face.
Check your mail.
Good Morning.

Bumped from the top 10 were Steve Flesch and Jay Haas, who ended up 11th and 12th, respectively, in a points race that began in 2002. They and other contenders now must hope they will be introduced by Captain Hal Sutton at 10 a.m. EDT Monday when he reveals his two wild-card selections to round out the 12-man squad that faces Europe Sept. 17-19 at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. ....In addition to Flesch and Haas, who finished tied for 37th, others under consideration for wild-card picks likely include No. 13 Jerry Kelly, who missed the cut, No. 14 Stewart Cink (T-17), No. 15 Jeff Maggert (absent), No. 16 Scott Verplank (T-62), and Leonard, who has an outside chance after moving up 13 places to 17th. .... Im a lot better player than I was when I played the last Ryder Cup, Cink, who was a member of the 01 team, said. Im a smarter player, more mature, and Im just a different player now. golfweb.com
We'll be waiting with baited breath til Hal makes his announcement. It's nail-biting time for the next hour at the Cink household...Bless their Hearts:
Great looking family, TO. Thanks for bringing them here.
On now.....!
Crossing fingers......
Jay Haas...terrific guy!
Woo Hoooooo! Stewart's on the team!
Let me share with you my favorite story from the last Ryder Cup. Former President George H.W. Bush was there spending time with the U.S. team. At the big banquet, Stewart and Lisa were sitting alone at their table later in the evening.
President Bush kind of sheepishly approached their table and said to Stewart, "I don't know if you remember me, but we met at the U.S Amateur a few years ago". Stewart, picking himself up off the floor, responded, "Why of course I remember you, Mr. President!". I love Papa Bush!
Excellent news - go get'em Stewart!
