Does anybody know when the extended/director's cut/long version of all three movies will (if at all) be released?? You know, as the "ultimate" DVD set.
TOPICS: TV/Movies
KEYWORDS: hobbit; lordoftherings
Silly question, but I thought I'd ask.

It was listed as News/Activism when I first saw the thread.
Anyhoo, a quick search on Amazon indicates that the boxed set is already for sale.

I found that to, but I think that is the theatrical (short) version.
I could be wrong.

That boxed set is of the theatrical editions, not the extendeds.
The extended RoTK is also for pre-sale, no actual date yet for the release. Check Amazon for it though, I would, but I'm runnin' late.
ecurbh ping.

Does anyone have a link or info about what scenes the extended version of RotK adds?
The extended versions of FotR and TTT were much better than the theatrical releases, imo.

I'd guess that there will be a box set of the extended versions about the same time that the last extended version comes out.
