The Guild 7-26-2004 Dims Get Dimmer at Convention

Posted on 07/25/2004 10:33:08 PM PDT by BigWaveBetty

Woooo! Rock the vote!

Teresa isn't even looking at him.

Howard Dean (news - web sites) speaks at the Democratic Gain & Rock the Vote jump off party at the Avalon nightclub in Boston July 25, 2004.

Howard's been working on his spare tire.

"C'mon Teresa, let's show this crowd how I can throw just like a girl!"

Please, all reporters be careful, she's mean.

"She told a reporter to shove it?!"

Actors Ben Affleck (L) and Amber Tamblyn (C), from the television series 'Joan of Arcadia', listen to actor Danny Glover speak at the 'Power of One' forum to discuss political issues affecting young people in Cambridge, Massachusetts July 25, 2004. The Democratic National Convention to officially choose U.S. Senator John Kerry (news - web sites) as the Democratic presidential nominee will be held July 26-29 at the FleetCenter in Boston. Hector Acevedo (L) asks what demorcrats plan to do about his dating life to (just kidding, snuck that in) a panel of celebrities including actor Ben Affleck (R) at the 'Power of One' forum to discuss political issues affecting young people in Cambridge, Massachusetts July 25, 2004.

Kerry Diverts His Plane to See Red Sox-Yanks Game

"This plane is diverted," Kerry told reporters aboard his chartered Boeing 757 shortly after it left Columbus, Ohio, ostensibly for Titusville, Florida.

What a dork!

Good job with the fresh, dork-thread. Thanks.

A local Bush/Cheney campaign chair was interviewed the other day and said the Dem convention was going to be the Kerry edition of "Extreme Makeover," as they try to portray him as something other than the out-of-touch-with-Middle-America pro-abort, anti-business, anti-military extremist he really is. He added, to my amusement, that all the Botox in the world won't hide Kerry's true record.

Kerry edition of "Extreme Makeover,"

all the Botox in the world won't hide Kerry's true record.

Ouch!

Tasha Eve (L) and Zazel Loven display their wares protesting US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) in Boston, Massachusetts, during a demonstration organized by 'Answer,' an anti-war activist group. Answer called for the demonstration one day before the start of the Democratic National Convention which runs July 26 to 29(AFP/Robyn Beck)

Who do I have to pay to make sure we won't see Susan Saradon in one of those G-strings?

I just got an email from a flakey Lib friend with a picture of her in her peacenik T-shirt.

Took one look at these pictures and I thought "It IS a disease!"

Looks more like a gay fest. I'm confused, why would they have left out of this shindig the biggest, gayest guy in their party, algore?

After meeting John Kerry at a 1964 barbecue, filmmaker-photographer George Butler (Pumping Iron) became a kind of Boswell with camera: joining Kerry on his first honeymoon, managing his first (unsuccessful) political campaign and shooting more than 6,000 photographs—so far. This September Butler will release both a documentary and a book, John Kerry: A Portrait (Bulfinch Press). TIME picked the following photographs from Butler's portfolio.

I have just seen Kerry's pitch from last night.

It was gay. It was very very gay. Then the hand pump in the air for his very gay pitch, followed by clapping for himself as he walked to the dugout.

I just want to vomit.

YOU want to vomit? Guess who's on my tv (local news channel) right now.

And as always Bob Graham is introducing him. Did the Kerry team tell Bob not to drone on for an hour this visit? Yep! Nelson up now, Kerry trying to look interested. The reporterette tells us, "If Kerry looks tired it's because he got in at 3 am this morning." Poor little girlieman.

"It's not sucking fetuses out of wombs," Reagan said. "Did you know you can harvest stem cells from your arm? And it's not because my father had Alzheimer's disease. That's not something that seems very amenable to a cure from stem cell research, in any case.

Ah, so he's going to try to obfuscate the issue by blending embryonic and adult stem cell research and try to say that Bush is against ALL of the research. Whatta maroon!!

I hope the Repubs. have someone other than Orrin Hatch lined up to talk about what the President REALLY stands for in Stem Cell Research!
