Most liberals are too stupid to read to begin with. They must be paying someone to write their reviews for them.

I dont need a book to reveal to me the stunning fact that Michael Moore is a stupid White guy. BUT---he isnt near as stupid as those going to view his movie and coming out using it as a reference of the Bush Presidency. Now those are some stupid white folks.

Reviewer: A reader from Sunny Scottsdale, AZ:

Michael Moore is an accomplished writer and filmmaker. This an ineffective, poorly written attempt to discredit him. Don't waste your money.

It's a cinch this leftist simpleton never bought or read the book.

Bought it at Walden (hey, I had gift certificates, not my fault) today, along with these three others:

Oh yeah? If the Republican 'theft' of the 2000 election is such a hot campaign issue, why did the Republicans buck history in the 2002 midterms, picking up seats in the House and the Senate? How did George's brother Jeb Bush -- despite campaigning by Al Gore, Bill Clinton, and Jesse Jackson -- managed to eke out a nineteen-point reelection win as Florida's governor? [p 209]

Notice too that this book is currently #4 (was number 1 and then it slipped to #3) on the Amazon Best Sellers' list.

That list fluctuates by the hour.

OMG!! Liberals reviewing the book without reading it? Isn't that what you're asking people here to do?

Where does it say that? Many FReepers are buying this book. Have you even read the one star reviews?

Then again, you probably believed that 1000 people who voted 10 stars on IMDB for Fahrenheit 911 months before it opened also all actually saw the movie at Cannes.

One of the ONE STAR reviews was written by one of the "Top 500" Amazon reader critics:

Biased just like Moore, June 30, 2004
Reviewer: xxxxx from Waltham, MA United States

This book proves one thing: there is bias on both sides of the aisle. If you needed to read this book to find out that fact, you haven't been paying attention. The book is filled with facts, but let's be clear that the facts Hardy and Clarke reveal contain their own biases. The same can be said for Bowling for Columbine or Moore's newest film, Fahrenheit 9/11. They are factual films, but biased. Moore is biased in the facts he chooses to focus on, while Hardy and Clarke are no better here. I suspect you will agree or disagree with this book based on your own political biases. At least Moore injects some humor into the mix, while this book is deadly boring in my opinion.

Another TWO of the ONE STAR reviews was written by one of the "Top 1000" Amazon reader critics:

Offensive, June 29, 2004
Reviewer: xxxx from USA

This book is offensive to over weight people around the world. Could they not have just attacked Moore for what he says in his books or movies? Did they have to make fun of his weight? Was this book written by 14 year olds? All signs point to 'yes.'

Propaganda, June 29, 2004
Reviewer: xxxx (he wrote TWO bad reviews for the same book) from USA

This book is filled with half truths, misleading "facts" and outright lies. You know...the same things the author(s) of this book and the rest of the right-wing Moore haters accuse him of. David T. Hardy is a proven liar and if you do a quick search for him on the Internet you'll know that right away. He's also not very bright if he couldn't write a simple book on Michael Moore all by himself. Here's an idea, instead of spending so much time on Moore, why not focus on the real issues in this country? And no, Michael Moore does not hate America. Saying he does is an outright lie. You can't tell anybody they hate something. It's a personal emotion that only Moore himself can feel. Put this book where it belongs and that is back on the shelf at your local bookstore and walk out with a book by Al Franken or Mikey Moore.

None of the details from either of these "critics" here gives any indication that they actually read the books they review.

This is my 5 star review, the libs are really working this:

The sheep are being led to slaughter by their messiah, Michael Moore. I picked this up at lunch today and haven't put it down. It's a swift and easy read, and you learn that this guy is in the ranks of Marx and Lenin, with nothing being the responsiblity of the individual, preaching cradle to grave handouts. It just a good history of a crybaby that is "creative with the facts!" I am so ashamed of the new pinko crowd out there! With this doofus in the lead, they will never grow up!

Some nice longer reviews of the book are on Amazon. Although Amazon does make it a chore to view reviews (no way to sort the damned things; and they're not listed by feedback ranking, just listed by the whim of Amazon's budding partisan sociopaths), everyone should be sure to click "yes" for favorable reviews. Beware there is at least one four or five star review which is actually a negative review.

I think that you can pull up all reviews of a certain star rating. I was able to page through all of the 1-star reviews.
