I am not sure if this is proper FR edicate, but I was curious to know how DU was reacting to Ronald Reagan's passing. As you can imagine, many comments were dispicable, but it is amazing to see what hate drives people to say. For example:
(Im sipping some excellent German white wine now)
To Ronald Reagan,
...may you rot in hell you sorry evil creep!
>clink glasses<
Or how about this?
I just uncorked some wine that Ive laid up for special occasions, so as to celebrate.
"Good riddance, and I piss on his tombstone (metaphorically speaking").
Or this is a keeper...
Whoopee!!
I can hardly believe I outlived the old bastard!
Where do I go to piss on his grave?
Again, sorry if I posted something out of FR guidelines
Hate: The Face and Soul of the Democrat Party.
They are Democrats. Most of them are unable to conjure up an ounce of compassion for a person who recently passed away. They are unable to separate the man from his politics. Sad, so sad.
(steely)
There is always one more imbecile than you counted on.
You really ought not to make yourself unhappy with that crap.
Just some unsolicited advice!
;-)
Don't sweat it. One hundred years from now, people will be watching Reagan speaking at the Berlin Wall, or his Evil Empire speech. Meanwhile Clinton will be still wagging his finger, or squirming in his chair defining the word "is".
And those who are damning Ronnie will probably be in their own hell, forced to listen to his great speeches for eternity.
I love Free Republic, but will Clinton be treated any differently by some here when he passes? Not to excuse DU for the cruel sentiments, but Clinton-haters give just as good.
My husband and I were talking about this. We are both in our late 30's. The things liberals always told us about conservatives have ended up being true about them instead.
I, for one, am not bothered by those at DU. They are more successfully revealing the nature of their dark souls than anything that we could ever do. I hope their bile is revealed in other ways to Americans at large so they are reminded what the left truly stands for.
I think it is most revealing that there has been no commentary from other DU rats to chastise those who are so ugly...they are left to spill hate at will. That would not stand here or at other conservative sites and that is all I need to know.
Sorry, I've already had a bath today.
Maybe later after I've slopped the hogs.
Let us teach us. We must not act like this when Clinton dies.
"Why in the world would anyone waster their time there?"
Scoping out DU and other leftnut websites is not a waste of time, especially now. You can use some of the comments these fools are spewing against them, In a purely political fashion, the more outlandish leftist statements of glee over Reagan's death will make for great campaign use when presented to the general public: THIS is what the Democrats are saying. THIS is what Kerry supporters believe.
Don't worry about the DUs. What ever they are drinking must be sour and cheap.
I don't need to poison my soul with their baseness. There will always be low-life scum in this world.
I can't speak for all of us at this site, but I am sure a lot of us would not stoop to the level of those at DU.
I disagree. While there wil be some who say hateful and unkind things, they will be the exceptions not the rule and they will be chastised by other Freepers, something that is not happening at DU. In addition, we are ashamed of the darker parts of our nature, we don't celebrate them.
I really prefer to NOT see anything DU on the latest posts page at Free Republic. I am here, not there, for a reason.
Also, I haven't hit myself repeatedly in the groin with a baseball bat since waking up today.
Should I? Do either? Why?
It was enough to be listening to Prairie Home Companion last night, and hear a couple of soulless degenerates in the audience yelp out celebratory cries of joy when Garrison Keillor announced that President Reagan had died. (To his credit, I only heard Keillor speak kindly of the late President; to his discredit, he didn't bitch-slap his presumptively ideological brothers, that I heard.)
Dan
My life improved measurably when i quit wondering what DU'ers thought about anything. I've learned to stay away from the dark side.
There were condolences but not a single post was simply that. They all had a qualifier at the end...
"My condolences to the Reagan family for their loss...BUT at least he wasn't as bad as Bush." ...etc...etc...
Disgusting animal filth is all they are.
