Prison camp life was tough in WWII. Fortunately I was able to bribe the guard.

I loved the running gag with the hidden microphone in the photograph of Hitler that Klink had in his office. The photo was of Hitler giving a speech and the mini-microphone was hidden in the microphone into which Hitler was speaking in the photo.

My favorite part was when the General would threaten to send Klink to the Russian Front. When I was first told I would be moved to the cafeteria at the school where I worked, I thought of Hogan Heroes because that was the equivalent of being sent to the Russian Front.

Klink: General, I'm calling because I heard about a bombing
General: What? (sirens in the background)
Klink:(louder) General, I'm calling because I heard about a bombing!
General: What? (sirens & more noise in the background)
Klink:(shouting loudly) General, I'm calling because I heard about a bombing!
General: Klink! I can't hear you over the bombing

Yes, that was General Burkhalter. Klink was a coward, but a sympathetic character.
