I agree, no point in argueing whether it was a false hate crime, there's nothing to base the accusation on. These things happen, imo all that's different here is a new angle for the press. A month ago you'd be reading about it in the police blotter of the local paper, if at all.

There is, at present, no evidence as to who did it, or what his/her/their motives were. It might have been an anti-Semite (whether Christian, Muslim, atheist, or Hindu). It might have been a Leftist wanting to pin the blame on Christians. No scenario is automaticly excluded

Yep, we should not jump to any conclusions. On a brighter note, Hundreds of people turned out Sunday morning at a Denver synagogue to help clean off racist graffiti and show their support for the congregation. ... Rabbi Daniel Cohen said he was overwhelmed by the number of people and the diversity of faiths that came out to help.
