The Passion attracted attention because of the extreme violence regardless of the subject matter.

I must have missed the media attention when Kill Bill Volume 1. was released.

Nevertheless, the defacing of this synagouge is revolting and should not be tolerated. The perpetrators should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

If the this malicious act was done due to release of The Passion, the intent of the movie was not the incur anti-semetic acts and the perpetrators of this crime are not true Christians.

I havent seen The Passion yet, so I cant comment on its violence, but I did see Kill Bill Volume I....There the gore (while not as graphic as Pulp Fiction) was liberal and fun ie everyone got hacked up ....very egalitarian, certainly not unilateral.

It was cartoon type violence. I mean one woman was figthing 60 guys with Kung Fu. It was like Matrix. It did get some attention because of the violence however there was no torture in it. Shoot somebody it's quick. Kung fu chop them no biggie. But torture? Can't deal with it.
