Also noticed from Google search that Severnaya is connected with the James Bond movie (and computer game) "Golden Eye".

Anybody see the movie? What happened at Severnaya?

Also a shipyard by that name.

In their heyday, St. Petersburg shipyards dealt with as many as 10 different orders at a time. Today the warships for the Chinese constitute Severnaya Verf's only project, apart from a number of repair jobs on old ships and vessels.

MHI places confidence in CMI

MHI (Mitsubushi Heavy Industries) has awarded a contract to CMI for the SEVERNAYA project on the Caspian Sea shore, 40 km North of Baku-Azerbaijan.

On 14 September, CMI received the Notice to Proceed for the engineering, manufacturing, supply and transportation of one vertical, induced circulation HRSG behind MHI 701F gas turbine.

The 400 MW combined cycle power plant is expected to deliver electricity to the local company Azerenerji by the 4th quarter 2002.
