Despite what my screen name may say, I'm in the very heart of NYC. We've been, I feel, at the orange alert since 9-11. Lately it feels like orange+. And I witnessed the collapse of the Twin Towers. Could have been in there had I not refused an offer with the NY Mercantile Exchange in the mid 80's.

But was is there to do? Be a coward and run away from fear? I don't think so. Wasn't FDR who said: "You have nothing to fear but fear itself."?

On we go!!

I, too, think often of you in New York and New Jersey. You, who live there, have experienced the worst, and have risen above it with bravery and grace. I am so very proud of all of you.

Living where I do, in western South Dakota, I can't help but feel a bit more secure and safe from the threatened terrorist attacks. However, wherever the strikes may come...they strike every American.. If they hurt one of us, they hurt all of us. That's just the way it is with Americans.

Tom I am so sorry you were in the midst of 911, how horrid. And being in the hub of it now. I will pray for NY everyday not to see anymore tragedy. But your right, I look outside today and see the sun shining brightly and we have to enjoy this and not waiver!
