                  | My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

    Bridge of Relief
     You are my bridge
 spanning onto new plateaus
 over patches of rough water
open chasms of peril and fear
 with you near me...
I have no dread of tomorrow
 or of cold black nights
 or of holding ceremonies
 from dusk til dawn
you are my dusk, my dawn
 my past and my future...
 you are the ceremony...

    When I'm missing you
the ghost of you clings to me
 like frozen condensation on glass
 ice lace and white feathers
your ghost is etched on my memory
I am haunted by your absence...
then confetti rain you blaze across the skies
playful comic comet display at twilight...

you warm my soul melting in love for you...

as ice lace and white feathers disolve on warmed glass
you decant your flavor over me
I am soft in your descending love
delicious in glass lace and white feathers
 I adore you confetti rain
 you cause me to smile...
we laugh together over silly private jokes

Hurry back... I am haunted by your absence...

Ms. Feather, this isn't where the tree toppled, is it? I certainly hope not, that's such a peaceful setting.

Wonderful images in the verse today...especially your bridge!

Thank you for the kind words.

Yes, Jinx this is where the tree fell. One of the lovely Victorian chairs is totally crushed, the rocker is gone but not forgotten.

The remains of the tree are now gone. It was learned the old pine tree was diseased, termites had taken over. My brother and I measured the girth of the fallen tree, it was 9' around the trunk.

I am thankful I was not out there in that wind storm. There was no damage to any property, garages or home roofs.

    I'm in.
Waiting for the people who can make pretty, pleasant poetry to put stuff up first.

     Wrapped in mist
 velvet warmth in
 tempestous undertow
 flood tide bursting
 under maddened moon
 of pie bald pastels
 and gray white ashes
 from scorching bones

Feeling her color of red
 pungent and tangy
alive is a life of love

Write away Dark, light verse, dark verse, all have a role in the poet's world.

I have written much dark stuff in years past.

Not a problem.

a beautiful morning with friends gathered 'round
 a poetry place
where good words may be found

 for laughter and sharing
 red feathers in hats
 right next to our foxholes
 how convenient is that!

OKers, I get the message and the point.
;-)
*chuckle*
But I'd prefer if some of the others tossed some writ out there too.
Our Miss Feather can't be expected to offset my stuff by herself all the time now.

He gave his all for our nation grand

He gave his love to one and all
