Other recent polling has supported “toss-up” ratings for the race from election handicappers, like the Cook Political Report.
Another survey, released last week by Fox News, showed the two candidates tied in their support from likely voters in the state, while a Suffolk University poll conducted earlier this month similarly found the Democrat with a 2-point advantage.
Collins is running for a sixth term in Congress. If she is successful in the general election, she will become the longest-serving senator in the state’s history. Despite Jackson’s lead in the Marist poll, 58 percent of respondents said they believe the Republican will win.
Jackson, a logger and former state senator, also recently received the support of more than 60 former diplomats and top foreign affairs experts in his effort to oust the incumbent. The Democrat struggled to gain name recognition after replacing former Democratic nominee Graham Platner in the race.
The pollster also asked respondents to weigh in on the candidates in the state’s gubernatorial contest to replace Gov. Janet Mills (D). GOP nominee Bobby Charles and Democratic nominee Hannah Pingree were tied at 44 percent support in the survey among likely voters. Roughly 6 percent of respondents also backed the independent candidate in the race, Maine Sen. Rick Bennett.
Additionally, 58 percent of likely Maine voters disapproved of President Trump’s handling of his job as president. Forty-two percent of likely voters said Trump would not be a factor in how they cast their ballot this election, while 41 percent said their vote will be cast “against the president.”

It's polling malpractice to offer a 6.6% MOE seven days before an election.
Pollingsource.com lists Maris as a D+3.6 bias. Then add the 6.6% MOE on top of that?

6.6% MOE???? That’s a laughable margin.
Collins wins by 10%. You read it here first.
Univision/YouGov is passing off a poll of REGISTERED voters in Texas to give Talarico a +5 lead over Paxton.
Registered voters one week from voting? Come on!!!

In a nation that is 50:50 A group such as Muslims can easily tip elections with being just 1% of the population
I’d go 8-10...The lady brings home the bacon and is on the very powerful appropriations committee.
CONSIDERING THE FAKE POLLS-—WHO KNOWS???
LOL
The Shill which pushed polls that had Desantis losing by
12 pts in 2018
is quoting this FAKE COOK REPORT which is notorious Dem FRONT group.
That’s if they even polled anyone, and if they didn’t just fake the data. I say they did - prove me wrong.
I think a lot of these close races go Republican and here’s why- considering all the energy the rats have put into this the past 18 months, the nk kings BS and everything else- there should be few “close races” per the polls and the rat candidate(s) should be up +8...
Collins should not even be runnng, the rino arty is brokeun.
Who would vote for her anyway.
Don’t underestimate the massive number of Somalis in Maine.
She’s literally the only Republican that could win in the state of Maine. We already lost the rest in New England. Once she finishes up, the seat will be democrat for the rest of our lives for sure. The only reason I’m wanting her to win so that we have a chance to keep our majority.
She is kind of like Shapiro in PA. PA is running redder this year than 2022, but Shapiro will win big, because he is just “ moderate” enough to win here.
Very true. I have to admit I’m glad that Pennsylvania has term limits for their governors so Max is four years and he’s gone. I doubt his presidential ambitions will come of anything.
He has been coddled here. He is about to learn that the big laughs don’t work like that.
Collins is the ultimate survivor. If the pollsters have this at 2, it’s likely Collins by half a point.
I knew a Democrat ward captain in Shamokin Pa. He would brag that he would turn out 110% of the voters all of whom voted Democrat. I asked him about this, and he insisted that 110% was correct. This was back in the early 1990s. Skullduggery has probably only improved since then.
Bastard. This is my mom’s childhood area.
