Mildly off topic, but we’ve been equipping our fleet trucks with Starlink. It’s amazing.
You can be in the middle of nowhere oilfield, nary a cell tower on the horizon, and have great service.
Cheaper than cell, too.
We’re not even bothering to put the big cell boosters on our trucks anymore. Cost 2X the price for 1/10 the usefulness.

I don’t doubt it. I’m waiting for the next-gen, I’ve got alleged fiber here (I watched the installation) that sometimes crawls, probably it’s really running off a coax multicoupler somewhere up the line.
Recently, there was an ad on YouTube showing a ranch in, hmm, I think Wyoming, that’s all that’s available, and the service is great. And it’s cheap. And the ad was better than the blizzard of election ads that have covered YouTube, practically everything I happen to watch.
2025?
If it was classified we wouldn’t know it launched.... π
